Rise in Unity Learning Hub delivers high-quality, flexible Alternative Provision for learners with SEND, SEMH, attendance issues or behaviour needs. Our trauma-informed approach combines personalised teaching, wellbeing support and a calm, structured environment.
Our provision is designed to help young people stabilise, re-engage and make meaningful progress. Key features include:

We offer personalised learning pathways from Entry Level 1 to Level 2, including:
Functional Skills (Open Awards):
• English Entry 1–Level 2
• Maths Entry 1–Level 2
ASDAN qualifications:
• Employability
• Personal and Social Development
• Health and Wellbeing
• Certificate of Personal Effectiveness (CoPE) Level 1 and 2
These qualifications can be tailored to individual needs and goals.
We work with Ground Control BJJ, our on-site martial arts partner, to deliver:
• Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
• Self-defence sessions
• Confidence-building
• Teamwork and discipline
• Physical literacy and coordination
We also have an on-site gym offering:
• Strength and conditioning
• Cardio sessions
• Fitness and movement work
Physical activity supports emotional regulation and wellbeing.
Wellbeing is built into every timetable. Young people receive:
• Emotional check-ins
• Social and communication skills
• Confidence building
• Healthy lifestyle sessions
• One-to-one mentoring
• Goal-setting and future planning
• Support with attendance and routine
We also support reintegration back into school or transitions into post-16 pathways.
We offer flexible placements, including:
• Part-time provision (1–4 days)
• Six to twelve week programmes
• Behaviour or attendance intervention
• Reduced-timetable support
• Spot-purchased placements
• Post-16 Entry to Level 2 pathways
• SEND-focused individual programmes
We are registered as an Independent School and awaiting full approval before operating full-time. Until then, we deliver high-quality part-time provision.
We accept referrals for learners who:
• Have SEND or EHCP requirements
• Present with SEMH needs
• Are at risk of exclusion
• Are on reduced timetables
• Experience anxiety or school refusal
• Need a smaller, structured setting
• Benefit from relationship-based support
Young people have access to:
• Two small teaching classrooms
• A large dojo
• A fully equipped gym
• A youth hub games room
• A wellbeing/chill-out area
• A kitchen space for life skills
• Safe entry systems and strong safeguarding
The environment is calm, structured and designed to support a wide range of needs.
