Our Story — Rising Together
Originally known as Huddersfield Community BJJ, our organisation was founded on a simple yet powerful belief: that unity and community can change lives.
What began as a way to bring people together through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has evolved into something much bigger.
Under our new name, Rise In Unity, we are proud to expand our mission- offering not only martial arts but also a range of fitness programmes, community events, and support services aimed at improving well-being for all.
This journey started from seeing first-hand how many young people and parents struggled to afford sports activities and the uniforms required to participate.
We knew we could help- and we wanted to do more.
Bringing people together, removing barriers, and making a difference has become the heart of what we do, and it’s something we truly love.
Rise In Unity is about more than just training; it’s about building resilience, confidence, and opportunity.
Looking ahead, we are working towards offering accredited qualifications, giving individuals the chance to gain valuable skills and grow both personally and professionally.
Our vision continues to grow and adapt each day, and we’re excited to move forward with our community by our side.
